26º Independent Spirit Awards

Em 2008, O Lutador foi o destaque da premiação, levando os troféus de Melhor Filme, Melhor Ator (Mickey Rourke) e Melhor Fotografia.
Em 2009, Preciosa - Uma História de Esperança se deu bem levando os troféus de Melhor Filme, Direção (Lee Daniels), Atriz (Gabourey Sidibe), Atriz Coadjuvante (Mo'Nique) e Melhor Primeiro Roteiro.
